Description
Marvellous Melbourne's iconic Flinders Street Railway Station on the corner of Flinders and Swanston Streets, by the Yarra River on a busy afternoon. People meeting people "under the clock", a modern tram and a horse drawn buggy, all vie for space near the busiest intersection in the city. The main station building, completed in 1909, is a cultural icon of Melbourne, with its prominent dome, arched entrance, tower and clocks–one of the city's most recognisable landmarks. It is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.
